Intensive Courses

Did you know the average number of hours of tuition required to learn to drive in the UK is currently 46 hours!

Depending on age, ability, and other factors such as speed of learning, and availability of practice outside of professional lessons, it can take more or less hours.

​

Assuming that an average student has just one 1.5 hour duration lesson every week, it could take around 30 weeks or 7 months to reach a test ready standard.

​

Here at FastFwd, we offer flexible intensive course options:

A 20 hour course over 3 consecutive week days, a 30 hour course over 5 consecutive week days, or a 48 hour course over 8 consecutive week days.

​

For any of these three options we can offer some flexibility and split these over a slightly longer duration, e.g. 3 days in week 1 and 2 days in week 2, or 4 days in week 1 and 4 days in week 2.

The benefits of taking an intensive course.

1. Time to achieve test readiness.

With the first option (30 hours, followed by a further 16 hours of tuition completed at a rate of one 1.5 hour lesson per week), you'll complete the national average number of lessons in just 12 weeks.

​

With the second option (48 hours), and assuming you achieve a test ready standard, you'll complete the national average number of lessons and be ready to take your test in under 2 weeks.

Please Note: by taking an intensive course, we cannot guarantee that you will be test ready by the end of the course.  As mentioned above, learning to drive and being test ready are dependent on a number of factors, and not all students are equally proficient at learning.
